Garden Essentials Part 1

When it comes to building the perfect garden there are different items people will tell you to place there. This may include plants, structures, tools or types of bird feeders. Ultimately it comes down to the individual to choose how they decorate their garden. This blog will mention some items that are helpful when first getting your garden started.

• Small shovel - This is one of the most needed tools in the garden. Lets face it, how will you get any plants into the ground if you can't make a hole? There are an assortment of different shovel sizes and styles. When just starting out all you will need is a small, rounded shovel for planting smaller plants. Once you desire a much smaller tree, then you will need a larger shovel which is used with arms and legs. It is better to purchase a round shaped shovel if you are digging holes, the flat, square design is more for moving dirt, scraping surfaces, and clearing.

• Bird Feeder - While you are still in the process of building your garden it is nice to get a bit of life in there immediately. Simple put out a nice, colorful bird feeder or ceramic bird bath and watch the local wild birds flock in.

• Wheelbarrow - The tools are great for transporting large items around your yard. Instead of making multiple trips back and forth, simple load up the wheelbarrow and make one easy trip. These can be reasonably cheap, however, it is recommended to spend the money on one that will last.

These are just a few items that are great to have around the garden. These will provide additional help when developing the garden into the yard you desire. Remember to have fun with your garden, and make it your own.
